I’ve tried fishing maybe twice in my life. I always thought it mainly depended on luck. You put a bait on a tiny rope and wait. It turned out I was right in a way.

On our trip to the Maldives last year, we got to go fishing on a real fishing boat run by locals. No one in our travel group knew what they were doing, which made it more fun. I can tell you from experience that beginner’s luck really exists. To our surprise, we caught enough fish to make dinner at the hotel.
